An angel, robed in spotless white,
bent down and kissed the sleeping night,
Night woke to blush; the sprite was gone,
Men saw the blush and called it Dawn
It was pride that changed angels
to devils; it is humility that makes men angels.
When one door of happiness closes,
another opens; but often we look
so long at the closed door that we do not
see the one which has opened for us.
Angels may not always come when you call them,
but they will always come when you need them.
Pleasant words are as a honeycomb,
sweet to the soul and health to the bones.
When you touch a fellow human being in love,
you are doing God's work. See within each
human being a fallen angel.
A heart is not judged by how much you love,
but by how much you are loved by others.
One thing you can say for guardian angels:
they guard. They give warning when danger approaches.
Angels will not run your life.
No angel will intrude on your
free will. They cannot interfere.
Angels tolerate and accept our shortcomings.
We'd do well to emulate the example.
I have mark'd a thousand blushing apparitions
to start into her face, a thousand innocent shames
in angel whiteness beat away those blushes.
My angel's the one who brings
out the best in me.
God loves talking to angels,
they take the time to listen.
Choose your angel with care,
that you may have a forever friend.
